AHE Process Overview
For T1, 2008 a collection of AHE courses are experimenting with a new approach to producing learning materials.
A simple overview of the process is:
- Authors use a supplied Word template to create topics for the learning guide.
- Authors modify a development Blackboard course as per the requirements specified in the learning guide.
- Authors submit a single complete topic (chapter) of the learning guide to DTLS by ????
- DTLS staff check the template and then use InDesign to produce a PDF version
- That file and any feedback on the author's use of the template will be returned to the author.
- The author will then complete final versions of all remaining chapters and submit them to DTLS by 7 January, 2008.
- DTLS will check and convert these files into PDF and return to the author for a final check.
- Final changes are made to the material which is then
- Placed into the Blackboard course website; and
- Sent to printery for dispatch to students.
