Batch Group Enrollments
Blackboard allows you to easily add students into groups, by using the Batch Group Enrollment tool in the control panel.
To use this tool, you need the class list, saved as a .txt file, in a particular format. Fortunately, this file is automatically generated. See the following instructions.
Create the Batch file

- Click the Student details link to open the Search page and locate your course.
- Enter the courses code in the Course search box (field) and select Go.
- Once you have located your courses, simply click the Blackboard Group Enrolment txt file link to generate the file you need.
- When the new screen opens that displays a list of student numbers etc , select File and then,Save As to save the file to a location of your choice (You need to remember where you have saved it).
Time to use the Batch Group Enrollment tool.
- Access the Control Panel and click "Batch Group Enrollment".
- This will open the Batch Enroll/Remove Students from Groups page, where you can browse for and attach the txt file you have saved.
- The groups will be automatically created if they dont't exist
- When you have done this, click Submit.
