Community Service
CDDU, along with the rest of CQU and most universities, have three major functions: teaching, research and community service. The aim of community service is to leverage the experience of university staff in a variety of ways. At CQU this can be through
- Staff members are contracted by elements of the community for specific projects through consulting.
- Staff members are active members and office holders contributing to professional associations.
- Staff member work with community groups for the general community good.

Schools
Adopt-a-school
Rolley Tickner's web and multimedia development expertise was used by the "Adopt a school" project to help some local high school students develop their own skills.
