Life long learning tutorial

Go to Web 2.0 Staff Development home

Introduction

"Lifelong learning throws the axiom 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks' out the door.... Lifelong education is a form of pedagogy often accomplished through distance learning or e-learning, continuing education, homeschooling or correspondence courses. " [1]

To this end, I felt it was worthwhile for participants in this e-learning course to take a moment to review a few good habits that can assist in your lifelong learning.

Discovery Exercise

  1. Make sure that sound is enabled on your computer
  2. Complete the Seven and 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners tutorial
  3. As you watch and listen, write down which habit among the 7 &1/2 that is easiest for you and which is hardest. You will use your personal blog (which you will set up next) to post your thoughts about lifelong learning.

Next Activity: Create your own blog so you can begin tracking your journey.
